52-Year-old Hartford Man Found Guilty Of Repeated Sexual Assaults

A girl, who was 12 when she was attacked, says a man living with her family sexually assaulted her at least 75 times.  Fifty-two-year-old Steven Baran was found guilty at the end of a two-day trial in Dodge County this week.  Baran had turned himself in to Hartford police June 29th, 2015, admitting he had raped the girl seven years earlier.  He told investigators the assaults had been “weighing heavy on him.”   Baran admitted to having sex with the minor five or six times over a three-month period.  He is scheduled to be sentenced March 2nd.
