Madison police say the thickness of a double-pane window likely prevented the wounding of a gas station clerk last week. A customer had just purchased gas at the B-P Capitol Petro Mart at about 7:00 p-m Friday. When another car pulled up, the man who had just pumped the gas pulled out a gun and started shooting. One of the several bullets which were fired became trapped between the panes of the station’s window while a 48-year-old worker was just a few feet away. That worker’s name hasn’t been released. Police have announced no arrests.
