The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County’s Red Kettle campaign is currently below its goal for the year. With only 11 ringing days left Lt. Jeff Olson states that, “We are only at 36% of our goal. This campaign is a very important source of funding for the many social services programs that aid families and individuals within Manitowoc County.” Bell Ringers are still needed to work kettle sites in Manitowoc and Two Rivers. A two hour shift will help us change lives.
This year the Salvation Army of Manitowoc County distributed over 1500 coats to Children which is up from 400 coats distributed in 2012. The food pantry has also seen numbers double year over year with over 400 families being served each month. The Toy Shop and Christmas food program is also growing in numbers and will surpass 600 families being served.
Without the generous donations of the citizens of Manitowoc County these programs would not be possible. Please help us keep these programs going by donating at a Red Kettle in your community.
