A potential disaster was averted, when an 80 year old female Alzheimer’s patient was spotted walking away from her care facility. Workers at Wyndemere Assisted Living on Riverside Drive in Allouez notified police that the woman was gone at around 3:00 PM, and gave a description of what she was wearing. As it was below freezing at the time, Brown County authorities activated the Code Red system, and called phone numbers in the area, telling people to be on the lookout for the missing woman. She was found shortly before 4:30 at the Allouez Mausoleum, almost a mile-and-a-half from Wyndemere. She was given a ride back to the home, and is doing just fine.
