Four weeks after he was severely injured in a hit-and-run, a 71-year-old Milwaukee school crossing guard has died. Police are still looking for the driver of the car which struck Andrew Tyler. He was walking to his post at Kluge Elementary School at about 6:30 a-m November 10th. Tyler’s first career was as a junior high and high school teacher. After retirement nine years ago, he joined the Milwaukee Police Department as a crossing guard. The family was touched by tragedy six years ago when Tyler’s 24-year-old grandson was shot to death during a burglary at his apartment.
