Milwaukee Fire Department Lieutenant Charged With Sexual Assault

Milwaukee County prosecutors are charging a fire department lieutenant with sexual assault after a reported attack on a firefighter.  The victim told police Lieutenant Michael Peden started making racist comments directed at her last May.  She says she asked to be transferred, but was told the move could take time.  Peden is accused of berating her during monthly evaluations starting in September, grabbing her breast once.  Three days after that incident, she says he forced her hand on his privates and told her she still had to “prove herself.”  The alleged incidents happened at the medical unit at Engine 26.
