Members of the Board of Regents for the University of Wisconsin System are expected to adopt a broad policy on classroom teaching time at their meeting today. The Wisconsin state budget requires the policy to be developed, tying state funding to system schools based in part on instructional time. Schools will have to monitor teaching loads, require faculty members to report teaching hours and reward those who teach more than the normal academy load.
