A former Milwaukee hospital being renovated has been heavily-damaged in a two-alarm fire. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office was evacuated, because it is located next door to the burning building. The first fire crews were summoned by an alarm at about 5:00 p-m Monday. Firefighters say there were flames on every floor of the five-story building when they arrived. It used to be St. Anthony Hospital. Fire officials say there were no injuries and nobody was inside when the fire broke out. Workers had been doing renovations earlier in the day.
