The numbers from the opening weekend of the deer hunting weekend have been released. The total number of deer that were bagged is down from last year by nearly 14,000, as 102,903 deer were shot. There were 59,142 antlered deer, and 43,761 antlerless deer were bagged. In Northeast Wisconsin, hunters had the most success in Shawano County, bagging 3,618 and Waupaca County with 3,529, while Marathon County had the highest tally statewide, with 3,671 deer.
