Law enforcement is searching for two male suspects in connection with possible charges related to a search warrant conducted Thursday in Two Rivers. Lt. Dave Remiker of the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit says investigators received information from various sources indicating that drug related activity was taking place at a residence in the 900 block of Rainbow Court. Additional information revealed that butane “hash oil” manufacturing was taking place on the property with investigators seizing numerous related items including approximately 100 butane gas cylinders. Remiker says this process involves infusing large volumes of butane into containers filled with marijuana creating a “highly potent” marijuana product which can become explosive if any ignition source—including a tiny spark— is created. Citizens with any additional information are encouraged to call local law enforcement. Metro was assisted by Two Rivers Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration along with resources and personnel from the Two Rivers Fire Department with fire suppression and monitoring.
