Broadway Street between Meadow Lane and N. Rapids Rd. will be closed to through traffic in order to accommodate repairs on the Broadway Street Bridge.
The work is scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 31st.
Pheifer Bros. Construction from Neenah, WI will be the prime contractor for the bridge repair project.
During the construction, the bridge will be closed to all traffic, including pedestrian traffic.
There will be a detour route established for through traffic.
Westbound traffic on Meadow Lane will be detoured onto South 35th St., then proceed southbound on S. 35th St. to Custer St., then proceeding westbound on Custer St. to S. Rapids Rd. and then continuing northbound on Rapids Rd. back to Broadway Street.
Traffic on N. Rapids Road wishing to go East of the Broadway Street bridge will need to stay on Rapids Rd. and use either Custer St. or Waldo Blvd.
Motorists will still have access to all businesses, residences and parks in the area.
Weather permitting, it is anticipated that the bridge repair work will be completed and re-opened to traffic on or about November 22nd .
