Federal officials say 12 guns have been found in carry on bags this year at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport. That’s the same number as in all of 2016. The Transportation Security Administration says the latest discovery was made Wednesday, when they found a loaded .45 caliber gun in an “X” ray screening at a Milwaukee security checkpoint. Officials interviewed the owner, gave the weapon to sheriff’s deputies, and allow the passenger to fly. The T-S-A says airline passengers must put their firearms in checked baggage, and they have to be locked in hard sided containers — and violators can pay fines of up to three-thousand dollars.
