Suspect Slams Stolen Car Into Store, Steals Guns

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office reports somebody drove a stolen car into the P-T Firearms gun store in Cross Plains early Friday morning.  The burglars backed the car through the front of the store, smashed display cases and stole several guns.  Witnesses saw them running from the store shortly after 3:30 a-m.  An effort to track them down using a police dog was unsuccessful.  Cross Plains police are working with deputies and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on the case.  Crime scene investigators spent much of Friday processing the location for evidence.
