The American Red Cross is asking for those who are able, to donate blood, ahead of the busy holiday season. They state that between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day is the time of year when donors tend to delay giving due to holiday plans, so they are encouraging donors to do so beforehand, so they will have enough blood for patients this winter. There are two locations in Manitowoc where you can donate. You can set up an appointment at Grace Lutheran Church on October 23rd from 2:00-6:00 PM or on November 1st, from 12:00-4:00 PM at Shoreline Credit Union.
