The SS Badger ended its season a day early due to high winds, and hazardous lake conditions. The Carferry remained docked on Sunday after wind gusts of up 39 MPH kicked up 21 foot waves on Lake Michigan. Terri Veen, the Lake Michigan Carferry Director of Marketing and Media Relations, said they were paying close attention to NOAA reports, and weren’t comfortable sending the ship across the lake. The SS Badger reported a successful season, even with the shortened season. Passengers this season were able to enjoy a few new attractions on board including new live musical entertainment, a new dining and bar experience, and updated Badger Bingo and Badger Family Feud games. Be sure to take a trek next year to experience all the fun the SS Badger has to offer.
