Harley Davidson had a 40-percent drop in its profits in the most recent quarter. The Milwaukee based motorcycle maker said it made 68-point-two million dollars in the three months ending September 24th — down from 114-million at the same time last year. Stockholder earnings totaled 40 cents a share, down from 64 cents in the same quarter one year ago. Harley’s total revenues dropped by nine-percent as a drop in U-S motorcycle sales continued.
