Manitowoc Teens Arrested After Fleeing Police

A pair of teens were arrested yesterday afternoon in Manitowoc after an attempt to flee police. A vehicle carrying the teens was pulled over in the area of South 19^th and Madison Streets at around 3:00 PM, after the officer recognized the 17 year old driver as having a suspended license and having a history of drug trafficking.  The driver decided to attempt to flee on foot, but was captured in the area of South 13^th and Manila Streets. Two loaded semi-automatic pistols were found in the glove compartment, which were taken from a family member without their knowledge. The 14 year old passenger was taken to the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center on weapons charges, while the driver was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on a multitude of charges.
