Couple Stranded In Puerto Rico Back In La Crosse

A couple which was stranded in Puerto Rico is back in La Crosse.  Dr. Julio and Maribel Bird originally planned a trip to the island as a vacation, but changed it to a working trip once Hurricane Irma hit.  Soon after they arrived, Hurricane Maria slammed the island, stranding them.  The couple finally arrived back in La Crosse October 6th after being on the island for about three weeks.  The couple had to eat lots of fruit from felled trees and stand in long lines to get cash and food while they were stranded.
