An Oneida County Circuit Court judge has decided to allow evidence of an affair in a cold case murder trial. Prosecutors had argued Thursday that the affair with a 15-year-old girl gave Robin Mendez a motive for killing his wife in 1982. Judge Jill Falstad says she will make a second ruling over the admission of another piece of evidence after she reviews all materials. Investigators say Barbara Mendez was murdered when she was hit in the head by a metal pry bar 36 years ago.
