Two suspects taken into police custody last Friday evening due to being in possession of drugs, appeared for bail hearings this afternoon. 57-year-old Earl Wilson is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while 29-year-old Stephanie Miller faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and heroin within 1000 feet of a school and obstructing an officer. Police pulled over a vehicle in the 700 block of North 11th street around 11 AM last Friday night and discovered Wilson had a warrant out for his arrest. He cooperated with authorities while Miller gave them a false identity. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up the drugs and drug paraphernalia. Wilson is free on a $100 recognizance bond while Miller is free on a $5000 recognizance bond. Conditions of bail are that both defendants are to have “no contact” with each other and maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol. Initial appearances are scheduled for next month.
