The Green Bay Packers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 34-20 win over Atlanta in the first game under interim head coach Joe Philbin. Aaron Rogers threw a pair of touchdown passes and set a new record when he threw his 359th pass without an interception. Rodgers said that record almost never happened.
The defense forced a pair of turnovers while handing the Falcons their fifth straight loss. The Packers built a 34-7 lead before giving up two scores in the final period. Aaron Jones rushed for 78 yards and a T-D, while Davante Adams and Randall Cobb caught Rodgers’ two scoring passes. Coach Philbin said the team did great on third downs.
Rodgers also said it was great to actually finish drives, and praised the offensive line.
The Packers play at Soldier Field against the Bears next Sunday.
