The Two Rivers Police and Fire Commission has approved the appointment of Steven Denzien as the city’s new Fire Chief. Denzien has served with the city of Brookfield Fire Department for the past 20-years and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant/Acting Deputy Chief. The new department head has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Service management and a master’s in Fire Service Leadership. About his new job, Denzien said, “I am very humbled & excited to be welcomed into the Two Rivers family. My family and I are looking forward to being actively involved in the community.” The new Chief will be sworn-in at 10am Friday, January 4th at the Fire station. That is also the last day on the job for retiring Fire Chief Scott Schneider, who has served in that position since July 2010 and is a 30-year veteran of the Two Rivers Fire Department.
