A Whitelaw couple has had the time of their lives the past 33-years offering concessions out of two vendor trucks at local parades and festivals. But, the time has arrived for them to retire and sell the business to an interested buyer. Roger and Sheryl O’Connor have made many friendships and great memories along the way but Sheryl tells Seehafer News…
Roger O’Connor says it’s really been a ‘generational’ type of thing with respect to their customers.
Sheryl…was asked, “what she will miss the most?”
And, sometimes, as Roger recalls….you “have to think on your feet.”
On a more serious note…Roger O’Connor remembers some tough times in their life and the reason why they got into the business in the first place.
To Roger this has been a family business and always will be. He stated their children and grandkids learn responsibility, how to work with others and, how to make change. O’Connor said they do have an interested buyer, but added if the sale doesn’t pan out they’ll keep it going. As he told Sheryl, if things are kinda slow pop some popcorn and the aroma will attract customers to the trucks.
