Sheboygan County has received federal approval for a proposed highway 23 expansion project. State Senator Devin LeMahieu and State Representatives Terry Kastma and Tyler Vorpagel announced the news in a joint news release yesterday afternoon. They said in the release, “Highway 23 has been of one of our main concerns as your state legislators in Sheboygan County. We worked tirelessly last session to ensure that the budget had the funding necessary to start Highway 23 and we are happy to announce that the Record of Decision for Hwy 23 four lane expansion was signed earlier this morning by DOT Secretary Ross, meaning work could begin as early as summer of 2019.”
