The battle against opioids continues to rage on, but the Wisconsin Department of Health Services will now have more resources to continue the war. DHS has received $2.8 million from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, which will be distributed to their partners to support projects in their respective communities. DHS Director of Opioid Initiatives Paul Krupski says, “We are grateful to the CDC for providing DHS the means to help local communities fund projects that will work for them.” No word yet on how much if any of that grant will make its way to Manitowoc County.
