The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships boys soccer team put on a scoring clinic against the Roncalli Jets yesterday, en route to a 9-3 victory. Lincoln lead 4-2 at the half, but the Jets did keep it close, with Tyler Bonin scoring the first goal of the second half, completing a hat trick. Josh Gutman continued his offensive prowess by also putting up a hat trick for the Ships. He kicked off the scoring with a helper from James Vandenhouten in the first minute, and also accounted for the Ships’ third and seventh goals. He received a pass from Vince Kelly on his second. Billy Kronschnabel, and Gaven Maurer both added one for the ships, and Joseph Gottshall tallied a hat trick as well. The Ships are now 2-0 on the young season, and will try to keep the winning streak alive against Green Bay West this afternoon. That game scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM at Rubik Field in Manitowoc.
