Milwaukee County bus driver Diana Serrano was just starting her route on the city’s south side when she spotted a small girl alone and in the street. Serrano brought the two-year-old onto her bus and called her dispatcher. She says she showed the child pitchers of her daughter’s dog and kept her safe on the bus and out of traffic. Milwaukee police officers responded and the girl’s mother quickly showed up. Serrano is being praised for keeping the child safe. Officials say this is the eighth time in less than two years an M-C-T-S bus driver has helped a lost child.
