Investigators say a former Milwaukee police officer had his family members contact at least one victim connected to his sex crime case. Dominique Heaggan-Brown is accused of witness intimidation. He pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution and obtaining someone’s image with consent. Heaggan-Brown’s brother allegedly called the victim to say he would “contact him in the future” if he showed up to court. With the subsequent plea deal, the former officer is serving a three-year sentence. He was found not guilty of a crime when he shot Sylville Smith two death while he was on the job. That set off two days of violence in Milwaukee’s Sherman Park.
