The Waukesha city administrator says it is either spend 29-million dollars to build a new city hall — or pay millions for repairs. City Council members have approved a plan to build a new city hall on the parking lot. Today’s Waukesha City Hall was built about 50 years ago. It suffers from water damage in the boiler room and the basement floods every time there is a big storm. The last time it happened, it cost 85-thousand dollars to repair the electrical system. City administrator Kevin Lahner says it would cost six-million dollars to keep the old building open.
