It was announced yesterday by the Chiefs of Police Association, that State Representative Andre Jacque out of De Pere has been named the 2017-2018 Legislator of the Year. WCPA 2018 President, Chief Peter Nimmer indicated that an award is not automatically given each session and reflects extraordinary effort on the part of Rep. Jacque in stepping up to help the men and women in uniform across our state. Rep. Jacque has authored laws that protect crime victims, closed the child enticement and hit-and-run loopholes, restored the ability of law enforcement to require suspected drunk drivers to submit to blood draws and much more.
