Racine city officials plan to release the name of the international manufacturing firm which is expected to invest 12-million dollars in a new facility at Southside Industrial Park. The announcement is scheduled for this morning. Racine bought the 14-and-a-half-acre Textron site 16 years ago, then tore down the buildings and began marketing the property. It took this long to find a buyer. A total of 275 jobs were lost when Textron closed in 2001. It hasn’t been announced how many positions the new company is expected to fill.
