That’s Rob Roseff of Manitowoc, a co-founder with his wife Denise of ‘Gumby’s Club Fore a Cure’, which is entering its 8<sup>th</sup> year of providing financial support to families suffering from cancer. <span class=”Apple-converted-space”> </span>Roseff said his committee meets frequently to review those in need.
Coach Mike Flentje, who retired this spring as head basketball coach at Silver Lake College, has twice survived bouts with cancer and is inspired by what Gumby is doing for others.
During their appearance on WOMT’s Be-My-Guest yesterday, a special check presentation was made representing proceeds from the recent Vic Ferrari Concert, on the Manitowoc waterfront.
Tomorrow night, there is a 5-K Glow Walk or Run starting at 8:30 from MeadowLinks with the national anthem presented by the Clipper City Chordsmen at 8:00, there will also be a butterfly release to follow, signifying life.<span class=”Apple-converted-space”> </span>Sunday is also a big day with bowling and golfing at Meadow Sports complex, a silent auction, raffles, food and live music from Out-a-time beginning at 1:30.
