Christian Yelich went three-for-five with a pair of doubles and four runs batted in as Milwaukee evened the series in Miami with an 8-4 win Tuesday. Travis Shaw pounded a solo home run in the 8th inning, combined with two runs in the 9th secured the 7th win in 9 games for the crew. Manager Craig Counsell said those three runs were huge.
Yelich spoke about the magnitude of the win after losing the previous night in extras.
Jhoulys Chacin gave up four runs in less than six innings but still came away with his eighth win of the season. Rookie Corbin Burnes pitched two perfect innings in his first major league action and earned the save, making him only the second Brewer in history to earn his first career save during his MLB debut. Burnes on his debut.
