The Manitowoc American Legion baseball team rallied for 5-runs in the last of the 5th inning to defeat visiting Ahnapee, a co-op squad of Sturgeon Bay & Southern Door, 7-3 at Municipal Field. David Heinzen got the win after working 7-innings allowing 8-hits, 1 earned run with 6-strikeouts and 2-walks. Leading the way offensively for Manager Kevin Stangel’s crew was Tanner Hadler, who went 3-for-4 including a double and 3 RBIs. Jared Lensmeyer also contributed 3-hits, a double included, and….an RBI. Jacob DeBruin & Chase Kersten added 2-hits apiece and drove in a run. Tonight, Manitowoc takes to the road to play the Green Bay Shockers.
