The Green Bay Bluejays ‘outlasted’ Manitowoc last night 7-to-4 in a contest that took ‘9’ innings to decide. Legion Post-88 grabbed a 2-nothing lead in the bottom of the first, and that held-up until Green Bay plated ‘4’ runs in the top of the 7th for a 4-2 advantage. Head Coach Kevin Stangel’s team then ‘answered’ with 2-runs in their half of the inning to send it to ‘extras’. The Bluejays scored 3-times in the 9th for the win. Jared Lensmeyer paced the host team by going 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles and Lincoln High School teammate Jacob De Bruin also went 2-for-5. On the mound, Andrew Eberhardt had pitched 6-and-a third innings of 3-hit scoreless baseball ‘until Green Bay put together a rally in the 7th.’ Manitowoc, now 2-and-3, will travel to Sheboygan tonight for a 7:30 1st pitch. The Legion JV’s play at ‘5:00’o’clock.
