Investigators in northwest Wisconsin hope a 9-1-1 call will provide clues into why a man killed his ex wife and her daughter, and then killed himself. Barron County sheriff’s officials say 17-year-old Natalie Turner called 9-1-1 from her home in Chetek last Friday night. That was shortly before the teen was shot and killed — her mother Brenda was brutally beaten in an altercation and died — and then the killer, John Hengst shot himself to death. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says he hopes a motive might turn up in whatever can be heard on the teen’s 9-1-1 call. All three lived together, even though Brenda Turner filed for divorce last year.
